Keep an uptime monitor if you want a page when the process is down. Add SignupCanary if you want to know the form still works after an AI edit.

| Question | Uptime monitor | SignupCanary |
|---|---|---|
| Did the server respond? | Yes. That is the job. | Only as a side effect of loading the page. |
| Can a new person sign up? | No. A 200 from the homepage hides a broken form. | Yes. It submits a fresh email in a real browser. |
| Did the verification email arrive? | No. | It waits on a test inbox and follows the link. |
| Does checkout open without paying? | No. | It stops on the Stripe page or card form and does not submit a card. |
